Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 2026. Good Dogz KC.
A. Introduction
Good Dogz KC ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information.
B. Information we collect
a) Personal information
When provided voluntarily by individuals, we may collect personal information such as names, addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers.
b) Pet information
We collect information about your pets including breed, age, behavior patterns, training needs, health considerations, and vaccination records necessary for safe and effective training services.
c) Non-personal information
For statistical purposes, we may also collect non-personal information such as browser type, operating system, and IP address.
C. How we use your information
We may use the collected information for purposes including but not limited to:
- Providing and personalizing our training services.
- Processing transactions and delivering services.
- Sending periodic emails related to your appointments or inquiries.
- Maintaining records for training progress and safety purposes.
D. Disclosure of information
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, except as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
a) Third-party service providers
We may share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, such as payment processors or scheduling software.
b) Legal compliance
We may disclose information when required by law or in response to lawful requests by public authorities.
c) Advertising and analytics partners
We share information with advertising and analytics providers so that we can measure how well our ads work and show our ads to people who are likely to be interested in dog training. Today those providers are Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram).
What is shared falls into two kinds:
- Activity on this website. Pages you viewed, whether you started or finished a form, and an advertising identifier from the cookies described in section G. This is collected automatically while you use the site.
- Contact information you gave us. If you submitted your name, phone number, or email address, we may share it with Google or Meta in a hashed, non-readable form so they can recognize you as an existing contact. Hashing means the provider receives a scrambled value rather than your actual email address or phone number. We use this to show you relevant ads, to avoid advertising to people who are already clients, and to measure which ads led to real bookings.
We do not receive money for this and we do not hand your contact details to anyone who is free to use them for their own purposes. You can opt out at any time using the choices in section H.
E. California residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect about you.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.
- Opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. As described in section D(c), we do share activity data and hashed contact information with Google and Meta for advertising. To opt out, email us at [email protected] and we will remove you from our advertising audiences.
- Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Access your personal information.
To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
F. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and for legitimate business purposes. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us.
G. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to run this website, understand how it is used, and measure our advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you block them.
The tools we currently use are:
- Google Analytics, to understand which pages people visit and where they leave.
- Google Ads conversion tracking, to see which ads led to a call or a booking.
- Meta pixel, to measure and target ads on Facebook and Instagram.
You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, manage Google ad personalization at My Ad Center, and manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
H. Your choices
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To do so, please contact us at [email protected].
You can also opt out of advertising specifically, without deleting anything else:
- Stop us sharing your contact information with advertising partners. Email [email protected] and we will remove you from our advertising audiences. This does not affect your training, your bookings, or how we contact you directly.
- Stop the tracking cookies. Use the browser controls and the provider opt-out links in section G.
- Stop the texts and emails. Reply STOP to any text, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
I. Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure.
J. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website.
